How We Stay Ahead With Technology

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

Have you seen the Best Buy commercial that pokes fun at the ever-changing world of technology? It shows scenarios of peoples’ hilarious reactions after they have just purchased what they thought was the latest gadget, only to be shown the newer and better version that’s already out on the market. I love the part where a family is moving in their new 3D TV and a truck drives by advertising the newest 4D TV that requires no special glasses (which, don’t worry… doesn’t actually exist yet). This always makes me laugh because it seems like that’s exactly what happens with technology on a daily basis.

We Are 35!

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

There are not enough words to explain how truly amazing it is to look back and see how Shelby Systems has grown in the last 35 years.

With the early, uncommon use of computers, the internet not having been invented yet, and the nonexistence of church software altogether, Shelby Systems was started with an idea all its own.

Frank Canady (President and CEO) started working at Shelby at the ripe old age of 17, when he was asked by founder Ernie Hamilton to be his software developer. Since 1976, Frank has worked hard to build Shelby to a 100+ employee company that serves about 9,000 churches and non-profits in more than 40 countries.
