Easter Sunday

Thursday, April 21st, 2011

Just as other religious holidays have done, Easter is quickly becoming secularized with non-religious symbols such as bunnies, candy, eggs, and candy eggs. The true story of Easter and why we celebrate it, however, is something much bigger to rejoice in.

Romans 1:4-5
And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised Him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey Him, bringing glory to His name.

An Easter Poem

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

Time to decorate with pastels, bunnies, and sheep,

Feed the kids chocolates, jellies, and Peeps.

With the flowers all blooming,

And the Easter eggs hidden,

Remember the reason

We all are forgiven.

From Everyone here at Shelby Systems, we hope you have a very happy Easter!

Easter- In Social Media Terms

Monday, April 18th, 2011

Back in December, the video getting all the rave on Christian blogs was “A Social Network Christmas” from Igniter Media. It portrayed what the announcement of Christ’s birth would have been like if it took place on Facebook or Twitter.

It looks like they have done it again with an Easter video. This might give you a better idea of Christ’s life, death, resurrection, and just how painful it must have been when His people were so quick to flee from Him.
