Just as other religious holidays have done, Easter is quickly becoming secularized with non-religious symbols such as bunnies, candy, eggs, and candy eggs. The true story of Easter and why we celebrate it, however, is something much bigger to rejoice in.
Romans 1:4-5
And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised Him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey Him, bringing glory to His name.

Monday, April 18th, 2011Back in December, the video getting all the rave on Christian blogs was “A Social Network Christmas” from Igniter Media. It portrayed what the announcement of Christ’s birth would have been like if it took place on Facebook or Twitter.
It looks like they have done it again with an Easter video. This might give you a better idea of Christ’s life, death, resurrection, and just how painful it must have been when His people were so quick to flee from Him.
