Many people set goals for the new year that attempt to improve upon food, fitness or finance. We at Shelby Systems would like to suggest an alternative with eternal rewards.

I Timothy 4:8 states: “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”

Just as our bodies need a proper diet and exercise to thrive, our soul needs spiritual nourishment to continue the process of sanctification. Make 2016 the year that you get into the Word of God (on a daily basis) and get the Word of God into you. Reading through the Bible and memorizing scripture will cause you to grow and mature in your faith like never before.

For your convenience, we’ve compiled a list of Bible reading plans for you to choose from (with links to the detailed documents).

Whatever it is you’re looking for in a reading plan, you should find it here:

The Legacy Reading Plan

This plan does not have set readings for each day. Instead, it has set books for each month, and set number of Proverbs and Psalms to read each week. It aims to give you more flexibility, while grounding you in specific books of the Bible each month.

With the popularity of smartphones, tablets and e-readers, it has never been easier to read through the wisdom of the Bible in one year.

This is the ebook that I recently chose to help me read through God’s word in 2016 (perhaps it will appeal to you as well):
